Hosted release and download policy

Access through Discord
Browsing published listings does not require Discord. Player downloads require Discord sign-in, membership in the Modport Discord server, and completion of any server screening. We request only identify and guilds.members.read. Discord membership is checked for every short-lived download authorization. Signing in does not automatically add you to the server. No payment is required.
What is hosted
Approved ZIP releases are stored outside the public website directory on our DigitalOcean server. Links authorize a specific immutable file briefly and cannot be reused after a successful request. Downloads are attachments, not files executed by our server. Source snapshots are not promised to be playable binaries and may require a separate build and your own legally obtained source-game data. Modport does not relay game traffic or operate creators' game servers.
Creator submissions
Creators verify their repository ownership using GitHub and submit a listing before uploading. ZIP uploads are limited to 100 MB (100,000,000 bytes), five uploads per creator per day. Every archive needs an explicit redistribution-rights statement and policy acceptance. Original retail game assets, ROMs, proprietary keys, copied third-party assets without permission and malware are prohibited. Retain applicable license and attribution notices. A public source repository alone does not grant redistribution rights.
Moderation and security
New uploads are quarantined privately. A moderator must inspect the distribution rights and scan the exact archive before publishing. We do not claim automatic malware scanning or guarantee the safety, accuracy or completeness of a release. Check the displayed SHA-256 fingerprint and use an isolated environment when inspecting untrusted code. We may reject, remove or restrict files and preserve relevant review records for abuse or rights disputes.
Reference images
Reference cover art and logos identify the game inspiring a project. They are not screenshots of the community port and do not imply approval by the original publisher. Each image links to its source. Copyrights and trademarks remain with their respective owners. Creator-supplied screenshots should replace reference images when available.
Privacy and reports
Discord account identifiers, usernames, encrypted authorization tokens and seven-day sign-in sessions support membership verification. Essential cookies and accepted policy/version timestamps are recorded. Sign-out deletes the browser's server session. Revoke the application in Discord to remove its authorization entirely. Creator submissions and release-review notifications may be sent to our moderator Discord channel without player identities or authorization tokens. Contact / report for withdrawal, deletion, security and rights requests.
