This notice covers Modport’s text-only community forums in addition to the Terms of Service and Privacy notice. The forums are a community discussion service, not a game-file upload service. Existing directory limitations still apply to game listings.

What you publish

Topics and replies are public immediately, without prior moderator approval. Your GitHub username, topic title, category, optional published-game association, post text, and creation/update times appear publicly. Other people may copy or index them. Do not publish secrets, personal information, private server addresses, or confidential material. HTML is displayed as plain text. There are no attachments, private messages, game downloads or file uploads.

Your work and conduct

You keep ownership of your writing. By posting, you permit Modport to store, display and moderate that writing to operate the forum. Publish only material you are authorized to share. Do not post infringement, piracy, harassment, hate, threats, unlawful or sexually explicit material, malware, scams, spam, or other content prohibited by the site Terms. Do not impersonate others, abuse reports or evade restrictions.

Moderation and reports

Moderators can pin or lock topics, hide or restore topics and posts, review reports, and restrict forum posting. Hidden posts remain available to authorized moderators. Game discussions stop appearing publicly if the linked game is unpublished. You can edit your own visible posts in unlocked topics. Use a post’s Report control to send a private reason to moderators. Posting limits apply: up to five topics, thirty posts and twenty reports per account per rolling day.

Reports include the reported post, reporter account, reason and time. Moderation records include the moderator account, target, action, reason and time. Posting restrictions include the affected account, reason and time. Reports and these records are not public. Contact the team for appeals or urgent problems.

Storage and choices

Modport stores forum content, account associations, reports, moderation records, restrictions and the forum notice version/time accepted when you publish. It uses the existing authenticated account, essential cookies and database providers described in the Privacy notice. Forum content is retained while needed to operate the community. Hiding is not deletion. Relevant reports and moderation records may be retained for security or disputes. Contact the team for correction, account/content removal or other privacy requests. Removal cannot erase copies held by other people. Do not assume immediate deletion from provider backups.

Discord and outside services

Discord.modport.gg is an external community address. When an invite is configured, following it takes you to Discord, which has its own account requirements and privacy practices. Modport does not embed Discord tracking or send forum posts there. Your Modport GitHub account is not automatically connected to Discord.

Acceptance and changes

Before publishing, check the forum notice checkbox. We record the version and time of your affirmative acceptance. Site account Terms acceptance remains separate. You can browse public discussions or request support and removal without publishing or accepting this notice.

Operator legal review is required before launch. This notice describes the implemented workflow and does not certify compliance or replace jurisdiction-specific advice.
